Nature speaks to each of us. When we are patient enough, quiet enough, able to pay attention enough, we can engage in cycles, eavesdrop on mysteries, even glimpse our own place in the world.
As an artist and environmentalist, nature has always been my springboard. It offers an infinite palette that allows me to see even deeper into the places and moments that connect us. I am particularly intrigued by color and shadow, shapes and negative space. Digital photography, or Photoplay, as I call it, offers an exciting way to explore these while keeping the perfect – and humbling – foundation that nature provides.
